Track an opportunity
Log heat, follow-ups, and photos, then convert interest into a quotation.
An opportunity is follow-up memory before a quotation. It is not a priced document. Skip this step when you already need a quotation.
Screen guide: Opportunities. Marketing: Opportunities.
What you need
An opportunity needs both:
- A contact
- A customer company (taken from the contact’s primary company when you do not pick one)
Product name is free text. You do not have to pick a catalog product.
Create an opportunity
- Open Opportunities, or use + → Opportunity.
- Or from Contacts, use New lead to create the person and an optional opportunity in one sheet. You do not need the company name yet. See Companies and contacts.
- Set temperature: hot, warm, or cold.
- Set a follow-up date when you must act again.
- Optional: add up to 12 photos (file picker, drag and drop, or paste with Cmd+V).
- Save.
Status starts as open. You can mark it dead if the deal stops. Status becomes converted only after you save a quotation from that opportunity.
Work the list and the board
The Opportunities page has a list and a kanban board. On the board, drag a card between temperature columns.
Overdue follow-ups also show on the Dashboard.
Convert to a quotation
- On an open opportunity, use the create quotation action (list, kanban, or phone layout).
- Exreach opens a new quotation with the customer and context filled.
- Save the quotation. The opportunity status becomes converted.
- You land on the Quotations list.
You can also open Quotations → New and pick the opportunity there.
Pipeline board
Workspaces on Pro+ also get a Pipeline board. That board is beta. See Pipeline. Other plans stay on Opportunities.
